  1. I don’t have kids, but love cooking work my friends’ kids especially when I don’t have to clean up.

  2. Fun giveaway, Mimi! Cooking as kid is where it all started for me. I don’t have any of my own, but I’m recently a great aunt. I’m hoping to help pass on the cooking bug to my niece and great niece. 🙂

  3. I enjoy sharing recipes. To teach children how to cook and knowing that these recipes will go on for another generation makes my heart warm.

  4. My kids are teens now and we still love cooking together! It could be frustrating at times when they were younger and messier…but now they’re getting to be pros at putting meals together, even without help.

  5. So grilled cheese was the first thing that I learned to cook LOL. I have always involved my son in cooking our family meals. We started doing a bit of the prep, then later moved on to some of the cooking, and now he gets put in charge of one particular dish that he can call his own and he enjoys that.

  6. What a cool giveaway, Mimi! I grew up cooking with my grandmothers and my mom, and love cooking for my family and friends. Now I am the gramma just starting to teach my first grandchild to cook~and I hope her memories in the kitchen will be as wonderful as mine are!

  7. A box of cheese?! Yes, please!
One of my favorite cooking stories is making pancakes with my older sister when we were both about 6&7. She was the “head chef” abs I assisted. Apparently she hadn’t mastered measurements yet, as she added 1/2 cup of salt instead 1/2 teaspoon of salt on the recipe.
    Worst. Pancakes. Ever!

  8. My grandparents had a huge garden and I was enthralled they could simply walk outside to get everything for dinner! I loved that! I’m excited to share gardening and better/healthy eating choices with my grandchildren.

  9. Ooooo….I NEED that prize! I learned to cook in my mother’s kitchen, and it was one of the best life skills, EVER. I used to make cookies and I would pull the cookie sheet out of the oven, set it on the counter, and turn around to get the rack, and by the time I turned back to the cookies, my brothers had stolen half of them straight off the cookie sheet!

  10. Our kids love helping in the kitchen and I am a HUGE fan of Cabbot cheese. I remember visiting the factory in Vermont with my parents when I was a kid. YUM!

    • Christy, I grew up about 20 minutes from Cabot, Vermont! Love those grilled cheese sandwiches with gooey Vermont sharp cheddar oozing out from the toasted bread, grilled in Cabot butter. Too bad we can’t get the butter or the yogurt out here, but so glad the cheese is available. I still fill my suitcase with 3 lb. blocks of Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar when I go to Vermont. Headed there next week to visit my mom and daughter. Glad to know we share a love of Cabot cheese! I know your family would love Chop Chop magazine too.

  11. I have been teaching children how to cook for over 15 years! Love to teach basic survival skills!

  12. Thanks to all who entered to win the giveaway! The lucky winner today is Christy Green!
